Archeology Completed in early 2003, this sculpture is carved from Limestone (18” x 10” x 8”) on a Limestone base. When archeologists uncover an artifact, there is often a moment when they see it as something both mysterious and yet somehow familiar.  This juxtaposition of the known and the possibility of greater meaning are what I seek to express in this piece.
